Welcome to the website of the research group Atomic and Molecular Physics on Surfaces!
Our working group deals with the investigation of surfaces and interfaces, in particular with reactions of gases on and with solid surfaces. This work requires the use of ultra-high vacuum systems in order to be able to use investigation methods such as MIES/UPS, XPS or TPD at high degrees of purity. We also work on possible applications of cold plasmas, ranging from basic research to the founding of start-ups. We are also involved in a collaborative research center (SFB1368) for research into oxygen-free production.
